Enrollment
Downtown Montessori Academy admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin. Children from ages 2 and a half through the grade 8 are eligible for application to Downtown Montessori Academy. Children 5 and older must have prior Montessori experience to attend our school.
As a City of Milwaukee charter school, children who reach age 4 by September 1st of a given academic year can be enrolled in our half-day kindergarten program. Those who are 5 may enroll in our full-day program with tuition covered by public funds. This also applies for children in the elementary program.

Visit
Before a child enters the school, we encourage the parent to attend a Parent Group Tour to learn about our program, our philosophy, the Montessori method and school policies and procedures.

This year’s Parent Group Tour and Open House for prospective parents is Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 from 5:30-7:00pm! The Principal & Admissions Coordinator will be available to meet with prospective parents and share an overview of the fundamental principles of the Montessori method as well as the philosophy of Downtown Montessori. While touring the school, you will also have the opportunity to meet our lead teachers and view our Montessori classrooms and materials.
