Before and After School Childcare
As a City of Milwaukee charter school, we offer before and after school child care to accommodate family schedules and give children a safe learning experience outside of school times.
Students enrolled in our school can attend before school care from 7:00 – 8:40 AM. After School care is offered from 11:45 AM – 5:30 PM for 4 year olds and 3:30 – 5:30 PM for students K5 through eighth grade.
Rates
Downtown Montessori charges an annual non-refundable $50 registration fee per family for childcare.
We contract with Smart Tuition to manage the collection of all childcare fees charged to parents. Smart Tuition charges their own annual fee which will automatically be deducted with your first payment. The Smart Tuition payment plans are listed below.

Refund Policy:
Our program budget is based on receiving full tuition from all children enrolled. Therefore, there are no refunds due to illness, school closures, vacations, closures due to inclement weather or power outages, holidays or staff illness.

We do not refund any prepaid tuition.

If your child joins an after school club or activity during their childcare hours there will be no refund or credit for that time unless withdrawing from that day or days for the remainder of the school year.

Students will be removed from childcare if payment is overdue by 30 days.
Child Care Fees:
Children dropped off prior to or picked up later than their scheduled time will be charged a fee of $10 for every 5 minutes or portion thereof. Parents must call the center to explain any delays, but the fee will remain. All students must be picked up no later than 5:30pm. If a parent has not called the center by 5:30pm nor had the child picked up by 6:00pm, we reserve the right to call the police. Any parent who has been late three times will be removed from childcare. We are not able to meet the needs of your family if you are consistently late. There are no exceptions to this policy. Under no circumstances will the center release a child to an unauthorized or incapacitated person.
